Weather

June is the start of summer in Istanbul. While there may be a little rainfall, as Turkey generally receives some rain year round, in general visitors can expect long, hot, dry days. The average temperature in June in Istanbul is 22C, with highs of 26C and overnight lows of 19C. The hottest temperature ever recorded in the area at this time is 41C, and it's likely that by the end of the month temperatures will reach above 30C for several days. Turkey is quite humid year round, though humidity do fall slightly during the summer months (they're around 70% in June, and 65% in July), so it will feel very hot indeed.

Cancellation/Refund Policy (updated at 29/03/2020)

The uncertainty of the current and immanent world health condition has been of concern to everyone on a global basis. We are all fighting a war against an invisible enemy that continues to crop up without notice and devastate communities and countries, despite the brave battles fought by our dedicated doctors and nurses throughout the world.

The Governing Board of the WFI, with the hope of determining with more accuracy, a feasible prognosis for the spread of the virus, has delayed communication regarding the workshop until now. However, a decision has now inevitably been made to postpone the workshop from its original dates of June 24-27, 2020. A new date has not yet been set for the purpose of determining a reasonable and more secure date based on the progression and eventual eradication of the virus. The event will however take place with a year of its original date.

We ask for your understanding and for your comprehension in reaching this difficult decision and ask for your support in making the rescheduled workshop even better and even more innovative.
